This is a portrait of my mother. Her name is Tatyana. My mother originally came here to reunite with her lover (her husband and my father), but now she has stayed in Amsterdam because she truly loved the city and the culture.
This portrait is a pair to my father’s portrait. Together they portray a loving couple who recently came to North Holland and stayed here to live.Since there are quite a lot of immigrants living in the Netherlands now, and my parents are one of them, I think they can also be called the Face of Today’s North Holland.
