It’s orange, I hope no explanation needed how it’s connected to Holland 🙂

Jokes apart, the Netherlands is my second country. We are all born in a certain country by destiny, but we can choose the destination for life. I drew this to celebrate 15 year of calling the Netherlands “HOME”.
This portrait is a self-portrait and I have drawn this selfportrait as part of art therapy. In order to process all the recent events of Corona and wars, I help myself to accept but also look deeper inside me and accept what was broken, what was hurt and what new was formed in me. I drew it during listening of the book «woman who run with wolves”. Women Who Run with the Wolves, Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés unfolds rich intercultural myths, fairy tales, folk tales, and stories, many from her own traditions, in order to help women reconnect with the fierce, healthy, visionary attributes of this instinctual nature.
